Effortless Newsletter and Spammy Mailboxes

Generative AI has made content creation easy. There has been a sudden flurry of new emails from the sites you submitted your email to long back because they wrote one interesting post. Now you see mostly the same stale or recycled articles. There is nothing new or interesting in those articles anymore.

While the potential for increased efficiency in creating content is undeniable, with that looms the concerns of low quality content. Writing newsletters, social media content or posts is as easy as creating a few prompts but the default result isn’t always the best. Relying on the default generated content can lead to unoriginal, low quality and repetitive content. There is nothing engaging in such content and neither there is any value to it.

The potential for spam is just one facet of this issue but another major problem is factual correctness. If we solely rely on machine generated content without verifying the factuality of its output, then we have a new set of problems with distributing wrong information.

Generative AI should be considered as another tool, not a replacement.

Generative AI should be considered as another tool, not a replacement. Let the writers do their job and use the modern tools for the job and create better content, but using an Application Programming Interface to a generative AI service to generate a newsletter or posts at a scheduled time will lead to unhappy readers and will result in more bad than good.
